Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 19, 2026
1. Introduction
FHBK Technologies, Inc. ("Blocksee," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Blocksee platform, website, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information — name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Documents and content — files, terms & conditions text, and other content you upload or create through the Service (except in zero-custody mode, where documents never leave your browser).
- Payment information — billing details processed through our third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Identity verification data — when you use inline KYC features, identity documents and verification results as processed by our verification partners.
- Communications — messages you send to us through support channels or contact forms.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, features used, timestamps, and interaction patterns.
- Device information — browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
- IP address — used for security, analytics, and approximate geolocation.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 7 below.
2.3 Blockchain Data
When documents are signed or consent is recorded, cryptographic hashes are published to public blockchains. These hashes are irreversible and publicly accessible. They do not contain the content of your documents, but they do serve as permanent proof that a specific document existed at a specific time.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions and send related notifications.
- Create and manage your account.
- Power AI features such as automatic field placement, content extraction, key-point generation, and comprehension quizzes.
- Anchor document hashes and consent records on blockchains.
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
- Send you service-related communications and, with your consent, marketing materials.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:
- Service providers — third parties that help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, KYC verification, and AI model providers. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
- Blockchain networks — cryptographic hashes (not document contents) are published to public blockchains as part of core Service functionality.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity.
- With your consent — when you explicitly authorize us to share information with a third party.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).
Blockchain-anchored records (cryptographic hashes) cannot be deleted as they exist on decentralized, public networks outside of our control. These hashes do not contain personally identifiable information or document content.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. In encrypted cloud mode, documents are encrypted before storage on our infrastructure.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and are not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from factors beyond our reasonable control.
7. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) to:
- Keep you signed in and remember your preferences.
- Understand how you use the Service and improve it.
- Provide customer support via live chat (Crisp).
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@blocksee.co. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Zero-Custody Mode
When you use zero-custody mode, your documents are processed entirely in your browser. No document content is transmitted to or stored on our servers. We only receive the cryptographic hash for blockchain anchoring. In this mode, we cannot access, recover, or produce your documents.
10. AI Processing
When you use AI-powered features (encrypted cloud mode only), your document content is processed by AI models to generate field placements, key points, quizzes, and other outputs. This processing is performed by our AI service providers under strict data processing agreements. AI inputs are not used to train models.
11. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
